Airport clarification Johnston Atoll

It was asked, as a result of route-planning discussions, whether the potential use of Johnston Atoll is legal.

In FSX/P3D it is coded "JON" which is not in the default FS9 database. In Fs9 it is listed as "PJON".
It is shown in the Excel spreadsheet included in fs9_Airports.zip (available at AvSim) that was compiled in 2005 from a default install of FS9 and is in a current new (default-only) installation of FS9. Therefore it meets the legal requirement of the Rules.

The Committee notes that in the real world this airport is now closed (effective 2004) as is legal access to the Atoll itself, but it is an FS9/FSX/P3D airport. While the default scenery will suffice, those wishing more of an "experience" can investigate the enhanced scenery at:

The RTW Flight Surgeon wishes to remind pilots and crews that this is a hazardous location (weapons-grade Plutonium, Agent Orange and Sarin gas are present) and as little time as possible be spent there. Crews (flight and ground) are encouraged to wear full HazMat suits, lead-lined underwear and to have equipment and aircraft run through a "decon" process at the earliest possible opportunity if in the Johnston Atoll environs. Don't eat the fish from the lagoon.
